“As our customers and their tastes evolve, we want to evolve with them,” said Rubber City McDonald’s Owners John and Carl Blickle.

The newly-remodeled restaurant now features modern décor, flat-screen televisions and chic bistro-style seating with natural finishes. It is equipped with the most current McDonald’s technology, including digital menu boards, free wi-fi, energy-efficient appliances and new payment options at the register.

“McDonald’s is making a bold statement about the experience we want to share with our customers,” Carl said. “The new look and feel of our restaurants is designed with our customers and their convenience and comfort in mind. Whether they roll through our side-by-side drive-thru or relax in our contemporary dining room, we want to show them an exceptional and appreciative customer experience that complements our broad and delicious menu options.”

Last year, McDonald’s USA announced a $1 billion investment to redesign the majority of its 14,000 U.S. restaurants by 2015. In 2011, McDonald’s and its franchisees remodeled 600 restaurants and rebuilt 200 nationwide. This year, 800 new remodels, 225 rebuilds and 175 new store openings are planned – a 24% total increase over last year.
