On December 10th, The Ravenna Thunderbirds held their annual Christmas party at Maplewood Career Center. During their annual gathering, the club honored their departing secretary treasurer, Russell Hurd for 28 years of continuous service to the club. Mr. Hurd, who followed in his father’s footsteps into the hobby, dedicated countless hours organizing events and managing the clubs finances. Mr. Hurd was presented with a plaque and monetary gift to commemorate his service. Pictured above are Mr. Hurd (right) and club president, Mike Ryan who presented the award. His duties as secretary treasurer have been taken over by Kurt Massar.
