Kent State USG Endorses Marriage Equality

Matthew Chernesky Published:

The Undergraduate Student Government of Kent State University has become the first student government in Ohio to endorse marriage equality.

This is in response to an amendment proposed by Freedom to Marry Ohio that would overturn Ohio's ban on same-sex marriages and civil unions. The amendment, which has already exceeded the amount of signatures required, would be placed on the ballot this fall.

Matthew Chernesky is a freshman political science major and the FreedomOhio Campus Director for Kent State University. His endorsement was sponsored by USG Director's Marvin Logan and Joseph Bizjak.
