The Ravenna Thunderbirds RC Aircraft Club is once again holding their “Trainer Nights” on each Tuesday of the month which started on May 6th. The club is welcoming anyone, including young people, who may be interested in the hobby, to stop out at their flying field at 7600 Peck Rd. in Ravenna Township. There, you can take a look at some of the airplanes in action. The club will have qualified instructors available to answer questions as well as train new pilots. The Club will soon have airplanes and equipment available for those who would like to give it a try and see if they like the hobby. Potential pilots will be permitted to fly three times before being required to purchase their own gear. Myrand Montgomery, pictured above, has been flying for a while now and is learning under the watchful eye of her father Randy who is a club member. Anyone interested in entering the hobby and joining the club can go to the clubs website at www.ravennathunderbirds.com or stop out some Tuesday at the peck road field. Things get started around 6:30pm.
