WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky emergency management officials have revised the number of people killed by violent storms in that state to 13, down by one from a previous report.

More than 30 people have died around the country in Friday's tornado outbreak.

Authorities and emergency rescue crews were still searching Kentucky's hardest hit areas Saturday for possible victims. Approximately 300 people have been injured and 10 counties were under a state of emergency.

Officials say only one person died in Menifee County rather than the four initially reported. They added two deaths in Lawrence County to the list as well. Laurel County was the hardest hit with four deaths, while three died in Morgan County and three others were killed in Kenton County.
