PARIS (AP) -- Yves Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati is leaving the prestigious fashion house -- but not before he presents one more collection.
YSL thanked Pilati for his "remarkable collaboration" and said in an announcement Monday that Pilati's successor as creative director would be revealed in the coming weeks.
Pilati joined YSL in 2004 and the statement said that through him "the house affirmed itself as one of the references of contemporary fashion." YSL chief Paul Deneve called Pilati's work "formidable."
But the designer has garnered mixed reviews over his years at YSL, and the rumor mill has insisted he was halfway out the door for several seasons running.
Pilati gives his final show for YSL on March 5 as part of the fall-winter ready-to-wear Paris fashion shows.
