NEW YORK (AP) -- Lawyers for two men who say they were molested as boys by fired Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine say salacious allegations about Fine's wife are relevant in their slander lawsuit.
Friday's hearing in Manhattan was about whether two former ball boys who accuse head coach Jim Boeheim of defamation can get certain information at this point. A judge says he'll decide later Friday.
The men also claim Fine's wife, Laurie, had sex with basketball players. One of their lawyers, Marianne Wang (WAHNG), told a judge that points to an atmosphere of "dysfunctional" sexual relationships surrounding the Fines.
Laurie Fine's lawyer has called the allegations "disgusting." Bernie Fine has denied wrongdoing.
Lawyers for the university said the request for information isn't warranted yet.
