CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cleveland Browns have released starting right tackle Tony Pashos, one of several moves made as NFL free agency opened.

The club also tendered wide receiver Jordan Norwood and defensive lineman Brian Schaefering and signed backup offensive lineman John Greco to a contract extension on Tuesday. Punter Richmond McGee, who spent most of last season on injured reserve, was also released.

Pashos played with a torn tendon in his foot most of last season. He underwent surgery last week.

Cleveland is more than $15 million under the salary cap, but general manager Tom Heckert has said the team will not "go crazy in free agency." Heckert prefers to build through the draft, and the Browns have the No. 4 overall pick next month and three of the first 37 selections.
