Lions WR Johnson close to 2,000 yards receiving

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson says he is hoping to become the first NFL receiver to break the 2,000-receiving yard plateau when Detroit hosts Chicago Sunday at Ford Field

Johnson has 1,892 receiving yards this season, putting him just 108 yards shy of the milestone. He broke Jerry Rice's single-season record of 1,848 receiving yards record during Detroit's loss to Atlanta on Dec. 22.

Getting the yards he needs to reach 2,000 won't be easy against a Bears' secondary that held Johnson to a season-low three catches for 34 yards on Oct. 22.
