PORT CLINTON, Ohio (AP) -- An 84-year-old sailor from Ohio who was rescued last month in the Pacific Ocean says he's not sure if he'll take another shot at his dream of a solo trip around the tip of South America.

Tom Corogin is back at his Lake Erie home in Port Clinton.

He says his sixth attempt to go around Cape Horn was one of the toughest trips he's ever faced. After he set off from San Diego in November, he had a hospital stay in Ecuador and an encounter with a ferocious storm south of Mexico.

Corogin says another trip will depend on his health and his desire to buy a new boat. He had to leave his sailboat behind when he was picked up by a Japanese ship that came to his rescue.
