AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- A 17-year-old suspected in a deadly Craigslist robbery scheme in Ohio will face a three-day hearing on whether he will be tried as an adult.
Attorneys for both sides met Thursday in Akron with a juvenile court judge who scheduled the hearing to begin April 17 for Brogan Rafferty, who has pleaded not guilty to juvenile charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping and one count of attempted murder.
The Akron Beacon Journal (http://bit.ly/zTPqb ) says Rafferty did not attend Thursday's meeting.
Rafferty also has a Friday court hearing related to charges first filed against him in Noble county, where two of the bodies were found.
A self-styled chaplain suspected in the alleged plot, Richard Beasley of Akron, has pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder and kidnapping.
