'A Doll's House' needs extras to film in SW Ohio

CINCINNATI (AP) -- A casting company is accepting applications for extras to be part of filming in Cincinnati for a movie featuring Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley.

Greg Matusak of Clover Casting tells The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/AdYfYD ) 900 to 1,400 background performers will be needed when "A Doll's House" is filmed in the area this spring.

Matusak also helped a different casting company arrange some of the 1,700 extras used when George Clooney's "The Ides of March" filmed in southwestern Ohio.

Matusak says more than 25,000 people responded by email during the search for extras for that film. He says he doesn't expect as many responses for "A Doll's House."

The $5 million production has been granted filmmaking tax credits in Ohio and Kentucky.
