HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) -- A southwest Ohio teen has been charged with murder in the death of a fellow group home resident who authorities say died from head injuries after the teen allegedly assaulted him.

A grand jury in Hamilton on Wednesday indicted 17-year-old Lance Tiernan as an adult in the death of 16-year-old Anthony Parker.

Police said Tiernan body-slammed Parker to the floor after Parker and another teen got into an argument. Authorities say Parker hit his head and was taken to a hospital Dec. 19. He died Dec. 28. An autopsy determined he died from blunt force trauma to the head.

The boys were at a Fairfield Township home for children who have been abused, neglected, have disabilities or are otherwise troubled.

Tiernan's attorney says his client will plead not guilty.
