Floods lead to Ohio school closings, evacuation

HEBRON, Ohio (AP) -- Flooding from early morning rain has closed some roads and schools and led authorities to recommend evacuation of a mobile home park in a central Ohio village.

Media outlets report the mobile home park in Hebron was being evacuated Thursday after water rose to some front doors. WCMH-TV reports that Licking County emergency officials say much of the village is under water and that at least 10 people have been rescued by firefighters and other crews.

The Red Cross has set up a shelter in a church in nearby Jackson.

Lakewood Local Schools in closed Hebron elementary and Jackson intermediate because buses were having difficulty getting to students.
