TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- A northwest Ohio woman says she'll act as her own attorney at a trial on aggravated murder charges next month.
The (Toledo) Blade (http://bit.ly/UCagtQ ) reports 48-year-old Melody Williams waived her right to counsel Tuesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
She is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated arson, and tampering with evidence in the July 2011 slaying of L.C. Lyons Jr.
Lyons' body was found inside his burned-out home in Toledo. An autopsy showed he had been shot in the head.
The trial is scheduled for Jan. 28.
