AKRON -- Police in Akron are investigating the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl.
WEWS TV reports that officers responded shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of East Archwood.
They arrived to find the girl dead of a gunshot wound.
Authorities have not released the girl's name nor provided further details of her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
