AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Police say the two people who died in a house fire in northeast Ohio were a woman and her mother.
Akron police tell WEWS-TV (http://bit.ly/VMtJLc ) that the fire started about 2:30 a.m. Thursday at a home on the north side of the city. Police said the fire started in the basement or first floor, and the victims were found in bedrooms.
Fire officials said there were no working smoke detectors in the house, which was badly damaged. They said there was no obvious sign of foul play.
The local medical examiner's office has identified the victims as 28-year-old Jennifer Barlow and 52-year-old Elaine Csora.
