NORTHWOOD, Ohio -- A judge in northwest Ohio is ordering the owners of a vacant mall to tear it down.
This comes after the city of Northwood near Toledo filed a lawsuit against the mall's owners.
Most of the Woodville Mall has been closed since February 2012.
All that remains open on the site east of Toledo is a Sears store that operates independently and isn't impacted by the judge's decision this past week.
The Sentinel-Tribune in Bowling Green reports that demolition is to be completed by next spring.
The city of Northwood moved to close the mall in 2012 after saying it had major leaks, mold, and non-working fire sprinklers.
