The Christmas program "Carols and Candles" will be presented by the church children and youth at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ, 4022 S.R. 44, at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The program will follow the 9:45 a.m. worship service.
The service will have carol singing. The children will read the story of Jesus' birth as the advent candles are lit, and then the individual candles will be lit as everyone sings "Silent Night."
Following the program, there will be goodie bags for the children and a birthday cake for Jesus for all to share.
