There will be an "Invite a Friend" event Sunday at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ, at S.R. 44 and Tallmadge Road. Worship is at 10:45 a.m.
At 11 a.m., there will be cupcakes, fellowship, and a program about homeless shelters for veterans and for children. There will be a craft and music with bells.
The event is open to the public. Those attending will receive goodie bags.
