Power Team member will visit Chapel in Marlboro

Longtime Power Team member J.D. "Big Country" Anderson will appear at The Chapel in Marlboro at 6 p.m. Saturday.

This event is geared toward those who participated in and those who are interested in the Upward! Sports ministry.

Then on Sunday, at 10 a.m., Anderson will share in a JAMboree! for the children of the community.

Anderson is a power lifter who is also an outspoken Christian. He stands at 6-feet, 2-inches and weighs 285 pounds. He has a 53-inch chest and 20-inch biceps.

He is able to press more than 500 pounds and can do leg presses of more than 1,500 pounds. He has a testimony of the power of Christ to change a life.

The JAMboree! is an element of JAM, the children's ministry at The Chapel in Marlboro. JAM is an acrostic standing for "Jesus and Me." JAM provides Christian instruction, wholesome recreation, healthy friendships, and clean fun and entertainment for children in a safe environment.
