Atwater United Methodist Church will hold a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. on Easter Sunday. The regular worship service will be at 9:25 a.m.
Holy Saturday Easter Vigil will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Aurora, 342 S. Chillicothe Road. Easter Sunday Masses will be held at 8 and 10 a.m. and noon.
Faith United Methodist Church, 1235 Tallmadge Road, Brimfield, will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday and a breakfast with crafts for children from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Easter worship will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The First Congregational Church of Freedom will celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The service will include preaching, hymns, praise songs and special music. Pastors Jim and Janie Melick invite everyone to attend. The church is located at the intersection of S.R. 88 and S.R. 303.
Hiram Christian Church will celebrate Easter with a Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. at Mantua Center for Northern Portage Disciples Churches. Then there will be a worship service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church at 6868 Wakefield Road. Children will remain with parents that day. There will be no Sunday School.
Holy Cross Anglican Church, 1046 Lake St., Kent, will hold an Easter celebration at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The church welcomes community members and encourages everyone to attend.
On Sunday, Grace Baptist Church, 5915 Rhodes Road, Kent, will hold services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. to celebrate Easter. The two worship services will be identical in format and will include choral and congregational singing, Scripture reading, and a topical message delivered by Pastor Bruce Chouinard. A time of fellowship will also be available between the services, which are both open to the public.
St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 N. DePeyster St., Kent, will hold an Easter Vigil Mass at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Easter Masses at 7:30, 9 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
The United Methodist Church of Kent, 1435 E. Main St., will hold Easter services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Both services will be preceded by a 10-minute musical prelude. There are Sunday School classes for children in sixth grade and younger during the 10:30 a.m. worship hour.
The First Christian Church of Kent, 335 W. Main St., will hold Easter worship on Sunday. Casual worship is at 8:30 a.m. and traditional worship is at 10:45 a.m.
The Kent Presbyterian Church, 1456 E. Summit St., will have its Easter/Resurrection Celebration in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 S. Water St., Kent, will host an Easter service on Sunday featuring festive worship with Holy Communion at all services: 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.
The Drama Ministry of Bread of Life Ministries, 1360 Fairchild Ave., Kent, will present "The Road to Calvary" on Easter Sunday during a service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program depicts the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Gospel hip-hop artist the Rev. Damien "Chill" Hill will portray Jesus. Refreshments will be served following the service, which is open to the public. For more information, call Sis. St. Joseph Church in Mantua, 11045 St. Joseph Blvd., will host "Christ Is Raised Up" on Holy Saturday. At noon will be the Blessing of Food. Everyone is invited to place their food items in a basket and gather in the church. The 7:30 p.m. Easter Vigil Mass will be followed by a reception in Hughes Hall. The 50-day celebration begins on Easter Sunday with the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at 8:30 and 11:15 a.m.
Portage Faith United Methodist Church, 9922 S.R. 44, will start Easter Sunday with a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast at 7:30, contemporary worship at 8:30, Sunday School at 9:30, and traditional worship at 10:30 a.m.
Mogadore Christian Church, 106 S. Cleveland Ave., will host Easter Sunday 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services with breakfast in between at 8:45 a.m.
The Randolph United Methodist Church's Easter schedule for Sunday includes Sunrise worship at 7:30 a.m., free breakfast from 8:30 to 10 a.m., and regular worship at 10:15 a.m.
St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, will host the Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil. The service will begin at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, when those attending will gather outside the front doors of church for the blessing of the Easter fire. In church, they will hear special events of salvation history proclaimed. The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus will be celebrated Easter Sunday at normal Mass times, 8 and 10:30 a.m.

The worship service with the Cantata "Remember" for Adult Bible Fellowship/Children's & Youth Sunday School and nursery/pre-school ministries will be held at 10:45 a.m.

The First Church of God, 237 New Milford Road, Ravenna, will have an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday. The church will host the Ravenna Avenue Church of God. The new associate pastor, the Rev. Allen Fletcher, will bring the message. Following the service, breakfast will be served in the Family Life Center. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. with the Easter Service at 10:45 a.m.
Maplewood Christian Church, 7300 S.R. 88, Ravenna, will offer two Easter morning services. The 8 a.m. service will not have child care; the 10:30 a.m. service will have child care. Both services will have the same format and message and are open to the public.
An Easter Vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom St., Ravenna. The service will begin in the side yard around the bonfire (weather permitting)and will include readings, reflections and song. Holy Communion will be offered. St. Paul's will hold a Resurrection Celebration on Easter Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Baptism and Holy Communion will be a part of the worship service. Breakfast, provided by the youth group, will be served from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall; a freewill offering will be taken. All children in attendance may participate in an Easter egg hunt.
Grace Episcopal Church, 250 W. Cedar Ave., will have two festive services of Holy Communion at 8 and 10 a.m. on Sunday. The 10 a.m. service will include the Grace Church Choir and organist Mary Ann Switz. Nursery care will be available. Cake and coffee will be offered in the Parish Hall after each service. The children's Easter egg hunt will follow the 10 a.m. service.
Easter Sunday will begin with a Breakfast Buffet presented by the Youth/Children's Fellowship and the Christian Education Committee at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ.
There will be egg casserole, french toast casserole, biscuits and sausage gravy, fruit, coffee cake and beverages, all for a donation, serving from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. At 10 a.m., there will be a worship service with special music by the bell choir, the children and the Psalm Singers. At 11 a.m., there will be an egg hunt for plastic-filled eggs on the church's front lawn for all the children. The community is welcome.
