"A Call for a Time Such as This" is the 2014 theme for the Kent United Methodist Women's Circles. All Circles plan to meet in February, with Miriam Circle opening the new year with a 9 a.m. Feb. 5 session in Pierson Hall. Sandra Andrews will demonstrate the art of making Valentine cards with all members participating. Carol Taylor will provide both a devotional and a mission message. Co-hosts will be Barbara Ferrell and Christine Pryor.
Mary Reed Circle will meet at 1 p.m. Feb. 5 in the church parlor. The Rev. Douglas Denton, minister of pastoral care, will present the program, "Visitation Do's and Don't's." Devotions and a mission message are to be presented by Jane Hornyak, who will serve as hostess chair along with Pat Gynn and Judy Hayden.
Rebecca Circle will meet at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5 in Pierson Hall, with Sherry Vanderneut serving as hostess and Carole Stokes and Janice Anderson co-hosting. Judy Smith will lead devotions and Judith Nedel will share a mission message. The evening program, "Finding Faith in China," will be presented by Beth Jordan.
Janus Circle will meet at 9:15 a.m. Feb. 9 in Pierson Hall. The program topic will be "Prioritize," with Nancy Lewis serving as hostess.
