St. Patrick School in Kent held its 150th anniversary alumni open house on May 18. About 200 people, including several principals, teachers and students from years past, attended and enjoyed reminiscing about the old days and catching up on what everyone is doing now.
The school even turned a classroom into what it would have looked like "Back in the Day." The students had nothing but a desk, a small chalkboard and a piece of chalk to learn with. Even Sister Mary Patrick showed up with ruler in hand. The other half of the classroom was kept as it is in the present day, with the students in their plaid school uniforms learning on iPads and smart boards.
St. Patrick School is currently enrolling for kindergarten through grade eight for the 2014-15 school year. For more information, call the school at 330 673-7232.
