Winfield COGIC to Honor Pastor and First Lady Richey at 4th Pastoral Appreciation

Pastor Dennis J. Richey, Sr. and First Lady Geraldine Richey will be celebrated during their 4th Pastoral Appreciation Service on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016. All are invited to join the members of Winfield Church of God in Christ for Sunday morning worship at 11:00 am and again for an afternoon worship service at 4:00 pm. In following the directions from God given to Pastor Richey, this will be the final Pastoral Appreciation Service until he retires from the Pastorate. Winfield, "The Church that Loves Everybody," will continue to show its appreciation to God by feeding the community - spiritually and naturally.
The 11:00 am speaker will be Evangelist Missionary Diana Starks, board member and chief financial officer of Winfield C.O.G.I.C. Missionary Starks serves as secretary to the Ravenna District Women’s Department, treasurer for the Ravenna District and as a trustee for Ohio North First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under Bishop Edward T. Cook, jurisdictional prelate. She is the assistant vice president in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In addition to leading the Bank’s diversity and inclusion efforts, she serves as the deputy Equal Employment Opportunity officer. Highly educated and extremely motivated with a bachelors degree in business administration and a pair of masters degrees in psychology and organizational management, Starks loves the Lord and loves to serve.
The 4:00 pm speaker will be Elder LaShana Smith, a member of the ministerial staff of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, located in Columbus, Ohio under the leadership of Senior Pastor and Presiding Bishop of the Kingdom Connection Fellowship Jerome Ross. Elder Smith accepted Jesus at the age of 5, received the baptism of The Holy Ghost at age 12, and was licensed as an Evangelist Missionary by The Church Of God In Christ-Worldwide at age 21. Bishop Ross licensed her as an Evangelist with Kingdom Connection Fellowship in 2014 and ordained her an Elder in July 2015. Smith maintains a career as a Financial Center Manager with Fifth Third Bank while actively volunteering in her community through Young Bankers and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She has a passion for helping others reach their financial goals as well as their heavenly goals. The daughter of Pastor and First Lady Richey, Elder Smith is a devoted wife to husband Zach and mother to son Ethan.
This pair of dynamic, spirit-filled orators will speak from the topic, "Great Year." You won't want to miss it! Winfield C.O.G.I.C., located at 6595 Winfield Street in Ravenna, has weekly worship services on Sundays at 11am, Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Fridays at 7:30 pm.
