Televised Talent: Disney Magic

A dream is a wish your heart makes.

And my dream came true as Cody Simpson was officially voted off of Dancing with the Stars.

Insert evil laugh here.

The Australian singer's claim to fame is that he toured with The Beebs. DWTS keeps telling us all about Cody's Twitter followers, Facebook credits and YouTube hits. But everybody say it with me ... NONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WATCH DANCING WITH THE STARS.

The new pros have officially left the building. Not surprising, since nobody knows who they are.

"It's Disney Week," Len intoned on a different matter. "Dreams come true."

The inevitable elimination aside, Monday's episode was pure Disney magic. Bad Maks was actually nice ... Meryl actually said he was "thoughtful, giving and nurturing." Who are you and what have you done with Maks?

James, not to be undone with the nice thing, actually brought a developmentally challenged girl to the studio so she and her family could see him perform a dance routine to "Let it Go." And the band actually sang it well. I almost thought Adele Dazeem was there.

Guest Judge Donny Osmond actually judged the performances well. As a veteran of the show, he knows a thing or two about what makes a good performance.

But it was Meryl's ice dancing partner, Charlie White, who was actually the star of the show. He and his partner, Sharna Burgess, did an outstanding jazz routine from the score of Mary Poppins. The whole thing with the cane and umbrella was not messed up as much as I thought it might be. And the band actually sang with British accents.

Watch it again with me:
