Local author Gloria Alden will be at the Village Bookstore, 8140 Main St. in Garrettsville, from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 16 to sign copies of her book, "The Blue Rose." Alden was a third grade teacher with Crestwood School District for 20 years and now lives on a small farm in Southington.
"The Blue Rose" is a cozy mystery featuring small-town sleuth Catherine Jewell and a cast of lovably eccentric characters.
