Tuesday afternoon on CNN, Don Lemon found himself learning self-defense techniques from Rabbi Gary Moskowitz, a former NYPD police officer turned martial arts expert who is doing his part to help combat the "knockout game" phenomenon that may or may not be sweeping America.
An eager Brooke Baldwin asked Moskowitz to help demonstrate his defense techniques by pretending that Lemon was about to "sucker punch" him on the street. "How do you defend yourself?" she asked. "Can you show us?"
"Don't hurt me," Lemon said as they rose to their feed. "This is not the anchor knockout game."
Moskowitz advised viewers to always use their peripheral vision when walking down the street and stay off their cell phones in public. As Lemon mimed punching the rabbi in the face, he used a variety of methods to incapacitate the increasingly anxious anchor. "This is my livelihood here," he said, pointing to his face.
