Author Visits

• Award-winning author Angela Johnson will visit the Hudson Library at 2 p.m. today to discuss her writing process and the tradition of "Juneteenth" on which her newest book, "All Different Now," is based. Her books will be available for purchase and signing after the event. This program is sponsored by the Children's Literature Series. All ages are welcome, and no registration is required.

• Local author Burton W. Cole will be part of the four-author book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. June 21 at The Village Bookstore, 8140 Main St., Garrettsville. His latest book is "Bash and the Chicken Coop Caper." He also will visit the Garrettsville Public Library on June 23 from 1 to 2 p.m. His first novel for middle-grade readers, "Bash and the Pirate Pig," was a finalist for the Selah Award for Best Children's Book of the Year and a nominee for the Christian Retailing's Best Award for Children's Book.
