NEW YORK -- Temple Grandin, autism spokesperson, consultant on the treatment of animals and best-selling author, is working on a children's book.
"Calling All Brains," a "hands-on" book about "invention and innovation," is scheduled to come out in 2018. The book will be based on more than 20 projects Grandin worked on as a child, according to Philomel, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers.
Grandin's books include "Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior" and "Thinking in Pictures: Other Reports from My Life with Autism." An HBO biopic, "Temple Grandin," starred Claire Danes and won five Primetime Emmys.
