LoveLight open house Nov. 29

Published:

The public is invited to an open house at the office of the local nonprofit, LoveLight, Inc., from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at 154 N. Water St., Kent.

Executive Director Lisbeth (Betsy) Justice, Ph.D. will discuss past, present, and future LoveLight efforts.

The event is being held to celebrate 17 years of service to the community as well as mark the start of LoveLight's new program, Tutoring Plus, and the organization's campaign to purchase a building for The STAR (Service, Teaching, Advocacy, and Research) Institute, which will include a child development and learning center.

The Tutoring Plus program is designed to work with students, parents, and teachers to not only develop skill areas needing improvement, but also to identify and address underlying factors causing learning and other difficulties.
