The Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its annual Raven Awards.
Nomination forms are available on the chamber website, www.ravennaareachamber.com or by contacting the chamber office at 330-296-3886. Nominations can be submitted by any individual, group or business residing, working, or doing business in the Ravenna community.
The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on March 15. The selected recipients and their nominators will be honored at the chamber's annual Ravens Award dinner on April 25, at the Elks Club in Ravenna.
The awards recognize individuals and organizations in the following categories:
Lifetime Achievement -- An individual who is generally recognized as having made a significant contribution to the prosperity and the quality of life of the Ravenna area community over a period of several years.
Volunteer of the Year -- An individual or group who goes above and beyond, exemplifying the true potential of how volunteers make a difference in the Ravenna area community.
Citizen of the Year -- An individual, who in the spirit of community service, demonstrates exceptional leadership and initiative in their efforts to support the betterment of the Ravenna area community.
New Construction -- Recognition for new construction of a building or public structure in the Ravenna area completed in 2012.
New Renovation -- Recognition for interior or exterior renovation of a building or public structure in the Ravenna area, completed in 2012.
