Water untainted by oil drum in Walborn Reservoir in Stark County

A 55-gallon motor oil drum was removed from Walborn Reservoir along German Church Street Sunday evening, the Alliance Review reported.

Lexington Township firefighters responded to the scene and worked alongside the Alliance Water Department, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Stark County hazmat team and the Stark County Park District, according to The Review.

Walborn Reservoir is upstream from Deer Creek Reservoir, making it the prime water source for Alliance.
