Portage County Drug Task Force finds Ravenna Township meth lab

A Ravenna Township man has been charged with illegally manufacturing methamphetamine after Portage County Drug Task Force agents found a meth lab in his residence on Thursday.

Luke E. Adkins, 32, of 5593 Dogwood Drive, was arrested and charged with one count each of illegal manufacturing of drugs, a second-degree felony, and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony.

Agents recovered sodium hydroxide, iodine, hydrogen peroxide, acetone, muriatic acid and cold medicine containing pseudoephedrine, all components of the illegal manufacture of drugs, from Adkins' residence on Thursday, according to a criminal complaint filed in Portage County Municipal Court

Adkins was arraigned in municipal court on Friday and was ordered held in the Portage County jail on 10 percent of $75,000 bond, according to Portage County court records.
