The Children's Advocacy Center of Portage County is providing a child sexual abuse recognition, response, and prevention training, "Darkness to Light -- Stewards of Children." The event is set from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Palmstrom Community Room of Robinson Memorial Hospital, 6847 N. Chestnut St., Ravenna.
This program is for staff and volunteer youth leaders, teachers, or anyone interested in stopping child sexual abuse. Pre-register by Feb. 11. The cost is $20 per person and includes Continuing Education Units for nurses, educators, social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists.
