The latest Meghan R. Brant "It's Not About Winning the Quilt" quilt raffle to fight ovarian cancer brought in enough funds to award five $500 scholarships.
The winners are Brittany Martin, who is working toward a master's degree in education curriculum and instruction at Kent State University; Christine Vilics Sutter, R.N., attending KSU in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program; Amanda Musial, working on a master's degree in nursing with a research focus at Case Western Reserve University; Abigail Zacharias, majoring in nursing at Ashland University; and Julie Szitas, R.N., working on a dual Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Health Administration program through the University of Phoenix.
Both Szitas and Musial work at the Seidman Cancer Center at University Hospitals-Geauga Medical Center, and Vilics Sutter works in obstetrics there.
