A traffic crash early Sunday morning caused delays for motorists on Kent's west side.
The crash, at around 3:30 a.m., caused damage to a city traffic signal and a FirstEnergy utility pole, according to the City of Kent's Service Department. Traffic was detoured to the north through Stow and onto Fairchild Avenue in Kent while temporary repair work was completed. The detour was canceled and traffic patterns resumed by 5:15 p.m.
Future work will be announced to complete the remaining repairs and/or replacement work once final plans are completed and a contractor selected, according to the service department.
