CLEVELAND (AP) -- A relative reportedly wounded by an Ohio kidnapping and shooting suspect is pleading for him to release his ex-girlfriend.
Cleveland police say 35-year-old Derrick Hudson kidnapped his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint Saturday morning after shooting and injuring his aunt and uncle, who live in the same building. Investigators are still searching for Hudson.
Hudson's aunt, Ethel Munds, says she was shot in the thigh when she and her husband tried to intervene in an argument between Hudson and the woman. Munds' husband also was shot. He's hospitalized in fair condition.
Police say Hudson was last seen driving his ex-girlfriend's red Dodge Magnum on Cleveland's east side. Police say he had been released from prison recently after serving 10 years for manslaughter in the killing of the woman's boyfriend at the time.
