COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio officials are expected to release last month's unemployment rate, along with updated jobs data.
The state's Department of Job and Family Services plans to post the monthly labor report for December on Friday morning.
Ohio's rate dropped in November to 7.4 percent, down slightly from the October rate of 7.5 percent. The state lost jobs in goods-producing industries and construction in November. But it gained positions in manufacturing, educational and health services, trade, transportation, utilities and government.
Officials said the number of unemployed workers in Ohio was 427,000 in November, unchanged from October.
Nationally, the unemployment rate is 6.7 percent.
