CLEVELAND -- The death of an off-duty Ohio firefighter involved in a traffic crash is being called a suspected homicide.
The Cuyahoga County coroner made the announcement Friday in the case of 58-year-old Theodore Wright. The coroner didn't release a cause of death, but police said there was a gunshot wound to Wright's torso.
Police said Wright, of North Royalton, died Thursday after his truck crashed into a utility pole on Cleveland's east side. He was driving west when he lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. Police said the truck overturned, and he died at the scene.
