Megan Marie Stone and Chip Christopher Scott Humberson were united in marriage in a Nov. 2 ceremony held at the Maplewood Christian Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating.
The church was decorated with a pillar covered with ivy and lavender tulle bows with center flowers marked the pews.
The ceremony music was provided by soloists Linda Pierson of Ravenna and Krystie Hite of Silver Lake, the brides sister-in-law.
The bride is the daughter of William and Beth Stone of Ravenna. Barry and Sharon Humberson of Ravenna are the parents of the bridegroom.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory satin strapless gown featuring embroidered roses on the bodice and a princess court organza train with embroidered roses, trimmed in silk.
Her pearl headband held in place her waist-length veil which was accented with crystals. She carried a cascade of ivory roses, stephanotis and ivy.
Maid of honor was Jessica Kurkey of Rootstown.
Bridesmaids were the brides cousins, Kayla Stone and Brittany Stone, both of Ravenna, the bridegrooms sisters, Kati Humberson of Shalersville and Brandi Humberson of Stow, the bridegrooms cousin, Daniel Glassner of Newton Falls, and Erin Berta of Rootstown.
The brides cousin, Molly Swartout of Ravenna, was the flower girl.
The attendants were attired in orchid gowns and carried cascades of orchid roses, stephanotis and ivy.
Serving as his brothers best man was Gary Humberson of Columbus.
Ushers included the brides brothers, Adam Stone and Andrew Stone, both of Rootstown, the bridegrooms cousin, Heath Glassner of Newton Falls, and Bryan Singleton of Kent. Ring bearer was the brides cousin, Max Swartout of Ravenna.
The newlyweds were honored at a reception held following the ceremony at the Kent American Legion.
Special guests included the brides grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Nagella and Shirley Stone, all of Ravenna; the brides great-grandmother, Josephine Delano of Ravenna; the brides aunt and uncle, Margaret and Edwin Stewart of Tennessee; the bridegrooms aunt, Georianna Belles of Minnesota; the bridegrooms grandmother, Pat Humberson of Mantua; and the bridegrooms cousins, Tom Mikelbrink of Toledo and Ken Mikelbrink of Texas.
The new Mrs. Humberson is a graduate of Rootstown High School and is employed by the Robinson Memorial Hospital Rehab Center in Ravenna.
Her husband is a graduate of Crestwood High School and is employed by Humberson Construction in Shalersville.
Following a wedding trip to Punta Canta, the couple are at home in Ravenna.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the bridegroom, was held at Henry Wahners Restaurant in Kent.
