The Kent Lions Club will hold its annual pancake festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in the Theodore Roosevelt High School cafeteria in Kent. Ready for serving duties are Lions, from left, Roman Syroid, Gary Locke, Mark Pike and Fred White. Donations for the meal of pancakes, sausages and beverages are $4.50 for adults and $2 for children 10 and younger. Free glaucoma screening by Western Reserve Eye Associates will be available and the Lions will be collecting used eyeglasses to be recycled. Proceeds from the event will go toward pilot dogs for the Blind, Sight and Hearing Conservation and local community projects. The Kent State University Delta Gamma members will be assisting the Lions with the event.
