The Portage Childrens Center Board of Trustees has selected Dewey Chapman as its president for the coming year. Chapman, a resident of Hartville, is assistant superintendent of the Portage County Educational Service Center. Chapman replaces Gene Brown, who previously served as board president. Cari Orris, a professional counselor in private practice in Kent, has been selected to serve as the Boards vice president. Rob DeVore, a resident of Ravenna, has been selected to serve as the boards secretary/treasurer. DeVore is a retail banking officer with Second National Bank of Warren in Twinsburg. The Portage Childrens Center, located in Ravenna, serves the mental health needs of Portage County children, adolescents and families. The Center offers counseling and a variety of in-school and community services to area families.
