Bassoon fest features classical artists

The 2003 Kent Bassoon Fest will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Ludwig Recital Hall of Kent State University Hugh A. Glauser School of Music.

Professor of bassoon David DeBolt and the Kent Bassoon Ensemble will host. Featured artists will be George Sakakeeny, professor of bassoon at Oberlin Conservatory, with Carlo Colombo, principal bassoonist of Frances Lyon Opera, James Howsmon, piano, and DeBolt and the Kent Bassoon Ensemble.

A bassoon master class and a big bassoon band open rehearsal will follow. Admission is free. Call DeBolt at (330) 678-7475 for details.
