Members of Twentieth Century Club of Garrettsville enjoyed a trip to Italy via Mary Furillos program when they met at the home of Gretchen Cram recently.

Furillo, who used pictures and video to describe her several trips to Italy where she and her family visited friends and relatives, combined tourist information with personal anecdotes and memories as she shared her experiences in Rome, Florence, Venice, Pompeii and other Italian cities.

President Elaine Ochwat conducted the business meeting. The hostess, assisted by Cheri Wolfe, served refreshments.

The club members and their guests were treated to a program on famous Ohio personalities presented by Stephanie Byrne, Atlee Fitt and Kris Perkins on Feb. 20.

With costumes and other memorabilia, the committee portrayed several famous historical Ohio people including presidents, authors, inventors, movie directors, performers and others at the clubs annual guest night at the Garrettsville United Methodist Church.

The audience participated in identifying the personalities.

President Ochwat welcomed members and guests. There was no business meeting.

Hostesses were Pat Amor, Debbie Lee and Margaret Clapp. Refreshments were served at a table decorated in a patriotic theme.

The next meeting will be held March 6 at the home of Alma Jones.
