KENTRecorder musicians entertain clubNolin family combine talents on recorders, guitar and pia

Zeta Omicron, alumnae chapter of Delta Omicron, met at the home of June Baldwin recently for a program of recorder music presented by David Nolin. Performing with David, were Carol Klohn, his wife; and Max and Abby Nolin, their children.

The program included Prelude by Henry Purcell from Preludes and Voluntaries for Treble Recorder Solo (1708) with David, alto recorder; Medley of Three Tunes by Turlough OCarolan arranged by Richard Voss played by David with Max, guitar; Kleine Stucke and Tres vite by Georg Philipp Telemann played by Abby, soprano recorder, and David; Sonata in C major, Opus 2, No. 6, Adagio and Allegro by Benedetto Marcello played by David, and Carol Klohn, piano; and The Fog is Lifting by Carl Nielsen from incidental music to The Mother by Helge Rode played by David and Carol.

Refreshments were served after the program and a business meeting followed the reception.

The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. March 19 at the United Methodist Church of Kent. The program will be select students from the Portage Arts Academy in Kent.
