A new Edinburg resident is Benjamin Adam Pfile, son of Tim and Jackie Pfile of Giddings Road. He was born Feb. 13 and weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long at birth. Benjamin and his brother, Carter, who is almost 4 years old, are the eighth generation of Pfiles to live in Edinburg. Grandparents of the children are Tom and Christine Pfile of Tallmadge Road in Edinburg, Don and Judy Sublett of Macedonia and Lee and Janet Fisher of Brimfield. Word has been received of the successful carotid artery surgery of Don Chartier, former Edinburg resident now of Fall River, Mass. He called Edinburg friends and said that he is feeling fine and he and his wife, the Rev. Ruth Chartier, are doing well in their new home and work in the East. Sheryl Ann Phillips and Richard Allen Fisher were married at the Edinburg United Church on March 1, in the church where her parents had been united 50 years ago. The bride is the daughter of Anna Phillips of Akron and the late Robert Phillips. The bridegroom is the son of the late Rita Fisher and Richard Fisher. The Rev. Joe Peters, interim minister of the church, officiated at the ceremony. Kim Reitman was vocal soloist and Marty Hatcher, church organist, furnished wedding music and accompanied the soloist. The Scripture was read by April Fisher, daughter of the bridegroom, and candles were lit by aunts of the bride, Alma Givens and Mary Lou Johnson. The bridal couple are now at home in North Canton. Ethel Crummel, former Edinburg resident, is now at Heather Knoll Care Center in Tallmadge. Andrew Hatcher, son of Marty and Dick Hatcher, and his wife, Kimberly, have moved into their new home at 8884 Carnes Road, Chagrin Falls. Mary Lou and Charles Johnson report that two of their daughters, Chris Luketic of Wayland Road, and Char Steinert of Kent, have returned from an enjoyable trip to the Dominican Republic.
