Diane Sivak and Ivan Nogalo Jr. were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony held Sept. 7 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Cleveland. The Rev. Mirko Hladani was the officiant.
The bride is the daughter of Edward and Jerriann Sivak of Akron. The bridegroom is the son of Ivan Nogalo Sr. of Euclid and the late Nevenka Nogalo.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Tracy Besenyodi of Akron. Bridesmaids were Afshan Ahmed of Springfield, Emilijana Bakavic of Willoughby, Julie Dudones of Stow, Amy Hazelton of Lyndhurst, Kristin Henry of Broadview Heights, Mary Ellen McAvoy, Amy Sivak and Lisa Walker, all of Akron, Adriana Peric-Daugherty of Dana Point, Calif., Meryann Vladic of Chicago, Ill., Vesna Vladic of Euclid, Zeina Waked of Richfield, and Angela Walstad of Aurora. The attendants wore red gowns. Junior bridesmaid was the brides niece, Anna Sivak of Akron. Flower girl was the brides niece, Sarah Sivak of Akron.
The best man was Paul Fiorilli of Columbus. Ushers were Denis Butic, Vjekoslad Dedic, Michael Nogalo, Marko Saric and Scott Wolfram, all of Euclid, Chris Dern of Rockford, Ill., William Martincic, Nick Trem and Wilson Vladic, all of Willoughby, Brian Mummert of Medina, Chris Sivak and Craig Sivak, both of Akron, and Franjo Vladic of Chicago.
Ring bearer was the brides Godson and nephew, Christopher Sivak of Akron. Train bearer was the brides nephew, Patrick Sivak of Akron.
The reception was held at the Croatian National Lodge in Euclid.
The new Mrs. Nogalo is a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms in Akron and the University of Akron. She earned her doctorate at Ohio State University in Columbus and is employed by C. Aydin DDS., Inc. in Aurora and Cuyahoga Falls.
Her husband is a graduate of Lake Catholic High School in Mentor and the Columbus College of Art & Design and is employed by Anjon, Inc. in Rockford.
The couple honeymooned in Bora Bora.
