Seniors focusing on staying healthy are, from left, Bill Morris, Alice Picker, Judy Taylor, Marilyn Evans and Martha Loos. The Kent Retirees Association held its monthly meeting recently at the Kent Recreation Center. Joan Sidel of Robinson Memorial Hospital Community Health Education Department spoke about healthy hearts and how to stay healthy. Bill Morris spoke about affordable prescriptions and getting medication from Canada. Free blood pressure checks were available. The next meeting, the Mad Hatter Ball at 11:30 a.m. March 12, will be a pot luck luncheon. The meetings are open to seniors 55 and older. Those attending should bring a dish, a friend and a hat or attendees will get one from the Mad Hatter. Prizes will be awarded for the best hats. For more information, call Judy at (330) 678-3277 or Karen at (330) 673-8897 to be added to the mailing list.
