AURORA Williams to attend scholars program

Chad Dryden Published:

Evan Williams, an Aurora resident and junior at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, will attend the Presidential Classroom Scholars Program from March 15 to 22 in Washington, D.C.

The civic education program provides high school juniors and seniors with access to the leaders who shape public policy. During the week-long program, Williams will interact with Washington insiders, including members of Congress, presidential appointees, senior military officials, top business leaders and journalists.

Williams will visit the White House, the U.S. Department of State and Arlington National Cemetery. He also will observe a Central Intelligence Agency briefing, a mock presidential election and foreign embassy visits.

Williams is the son of Robert and Marcia Williams of Aurora.
